So, I finally got the chance to watch this disgusting junk of a movie. Armed with my new observational skills brought on by PUA knowledge, I noticed a few things which make this series into such a hyped up "chick crack" - All the other people at her school are "clingy" to the central character, whereas the main vampire dude hated her for whatever reasons and pushed her away.
- Main girl has quite a low self esteem, which is basically communicated by her "emo-ness"
- He always plays "protector"
- She appears to have a hard time to qualify to him. (to eventually get him to tell him his [not] interesting secret of being a vampire)
I wondered what more experienced people on this board have to comment on this series, as it is one of the most "chick crack" things in my own high school. Maybe I'm just taking out of my ass, but I wanted to post something.

ok for me i think this is a PUA best friend depending on how you look at it
yes its chick crack, just like best friend test, the cube, s[ells opener etc. this is prob a better opener then anything for girls our age, i've read all 4 books in a week when i went to aussie over the sumer, the HB i sat next to on my trip loved book and swore by it, so i read for haha and it wasnt that bad, the flight from aussie back home was 26hrs, i sat next to them again and we literally talked bout twilight and other stuff for 26 hrs it gets them talking about there type how tey can be swept of there feet etc
when i went to the movies to see it i used a simple opener was it better or worse then you expected? it got a 99% success rate, i walked out with a few numbers and a date so its a good thing, that there movies lie this, all ur points up top are all true bt that what makes it more appealing, when i first heard of it i thought it was gay but actually reading it it was alot better

The movie is total bullshit and if I were a character in that book, I would fucking kill that bitch cuz she is SOOOOO annoying.
Besides that, I liked the series overall, nothing special so I wouldn't really recommend it, but it's not as bad as some of you might think.

grape, I watch and ENJOY the occasional chick flick. But Twilight as a series (the books too) is full of cliches, and nonsensical jibberish.

I read the first one and half of the second on a plane ride. I thought it was ok at first, and then it just kind of got stale. It gets annoying just reading how she misses that one guy for an entire book. Girls love talking about it though.
I just start of being all corny with, "Are you team Edward or team Jacob?!?!" whenever it comes up and it just sucks them right in.
I'm convinced I upped my AP Calc average 10 points just by asking my teacher that question.^

"Today, my girlfriend dumped me proclaiming she wanted someone more like her "Edward". I asked her who Edward was. She held up a copy her "Twilight" book. She was talking about a fictional vampire. FML"
