don't associate anything that disregards the way people look at you with PUA. sure, we loosely say "dont give a crap about the way people think about you".. but it really means React to people's views in the right way. Don't get emotionally worked up about it and rather use it either truly improve yourself or realize the BS motive behind their comments.

PUA is all about how to be more social and how to establish better relationships with other people and to disregard this goal by saying "dont care about how people view you" is to be very ignorant.

i completely know what you're getting at with saying drop the ego..but think about the paradox in that because you also stated that you only care about the validation you give your SELF.

the ego is all about self-validation and self-enlightenment.

the ego is not a bad thing. it's simply when people see themselves as better or worse than the mass of men that ugly situations arise.

the slang defintion that is now attached to 'ego' is making it something easy to argue about.

let me re-emphasize: To not seek validation from others is to be full of your ego since you would only seek validation from yourself.

and the Power of Now has soo many points I agree with and I recommend everyone to read it. it has some things I personally disagree with..but it gets a lot of solid points across and I thought it was pretty good.

quite frankly this issue is getting muddled prolly by what were calling ego, i still thinking your calling it your self esteem,
I think im still referring to it as that little voice inside your head most people call thinking, but it separate from inner thought. Its like the good angel and bad devil on your shoulders, its your constant nagging thoughts, a constant stream, even if you don't want it.

and for me that is what PUA is for, I've never had a difficult time with girls ever, but becuase I was unwittingly introduced to it I have been able to actually accept negative feelings and issues in any given vibe, and that that social negativity doesn't bother me any more, making me more chill and fun.

I agree that your points make sense for you PUA in training who cant get over his feelings and whose in the game for just girls, but letting someone else dictate your emotions is not what I consider a good idea.

So your points and criticisms make a different kinds of sense with applied to different definitions.
