Weed was banned because of Mexican racism actually.
And Nate, no it does not. I don't know if this is the full reason (probably also weed growers don't use radioactive fertilizers like tobaccy companies do) but THC, the main "high" chemical in weed pretty much, is an antioxidant/is anticarcinogenic. This means it not only does not cause cancer (proven by not a single case ever being found of a weed-only smoker getting lung cancer as far as I or anyone i have talked to can find) but seems to HELP AGAINST cancer.

tell me why drugs like weed were banned in the first place A statement like that shows how misinformed you are. “There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.” “…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.” “Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.” “Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” “Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing” “You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.” “Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.” Harry J. Anslinger- Founder of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics. The man who forced through lies and manipulation of the press the illegalisation of cannabis, all for the personal gain and advancement of him and a few others. The American Medical Association actively opposed the ban. ... My point proven I think.

Wait, doesn't weed cause lung cancer though? No. Actually, we don't know for sure if it causes cancer. There is a lot of conflicting information out there and I don't think anyone can say for certain. I am sick of hearing weed users trying to justify their habit though. All of the pot smokers I know insist it is healthy, and yet many of them have seen first hand the negative effects of weed on people.

Actually, we DO know for sure that it doesn't cause cancer. Look around.
And don't call people that smoke users porfavor. Unless you call people that drink and such users, as alcohol is a much "harder" drug.

Yeah burning just about anything releases carcinogens/mutagens. Weed is still good shit. Cigarettes cause lung cancer when you're smoking pack(s) a day, and nobody smokes marijuana in that volume. Plus, through a piece, it's negligible. If you're concerned about the lung cancer, smoking anything is only hurting you, though.
All the fucked up shit related to drugs is fucked up because the only people who bother themselves with the large-scale production and distribution drugs are people who are very willing to break the law, and from there it's a slippery slope that's easy to fall down with all the money at the bottom.
Gay, have you tried spice/norsefire? I have some friends telling me to try it because it doesn't show up on drug tests and it's a shorter, more intense high than regular weed. Is it cut with anything hard?

Spice is JWH-018 I think, a synthetic cannabinoid. Health stuff is unknown so I don't know if it's as safe as weed but I haven't seen any bad reports yet. From what I've read, it is a longer but more "dirty" high than weed. I've tried xxxchillin which may be the same thing but higher potency, and it was realllly intense, almost too much.

I find all the facts about weed are so biased and spread out that they both support it or are against it there isnt really a inbetween. Smoking anything cant be good for you but the long term effects arent really proven i would say.
I myself have felt some bad effects though. Last summer i smoked it at least twice a day every day, it really killed my memory. It made me way worse in school and only about now am i finally getting it back. I still smoke but i cut back alot.
This might not happen to everyone but it defintely hurt me big time in school. But like everything as long as you dont overdo it like smoking once a week you should be fine.

Its a painkiller, not much else to it. I did three once and lost my vision for some reason. All I saw was black for about three minutes. Scary shit. Then I puked.
As for JWH-018. I currently smoke spice, since it is legal, and yes its much more intense. you can green out really easily if you smoke too much, By greening out, I mean...puking, extreme sounds, mental insanity, and massive body aches. Its not fun, it goes away after about three hours though.
So if you wanna try spice, its bomb. Just don't smoke toooo much.

From my experiences, the people who don't need drugs can do them without hurting themselves; but the people who rely on drugs as a crutch, really shouldn't be taking them. Drugs don't cause people to turn into junkies and waste their lives, but it can certainly speed up the process.
Correlation, not causation. People can certainly do drugs recreationally without changing who they are or harming themselves.

Dude, how old are you? If you are under 18, your brain is probably fucked right now. When you are in your teens, the brain is in its developing prime time, heavy use of marijuana or single uses of stronger drugs are SO bad for your brain. If you are under the age of 18, and have done salvia, weed, lsd, ecstasy, you are likely to encounter mental illnesses when you are older. If your going to try any drug besides weed, dont do it until you are older.

it is true that the young brain develops till you 25, any substance is negative toward its health. Also weed is the most mild recreational drug out there, especially compared to tobacco and alcohol. If your going to try anything weed is the best option, but I prefer to not use any substance that alters my perception of reality.
