Wow. You have a long ways to go It's going to take a long time but don't give up on it. It's worth it. 1. If I had a choice on what I wore to school it would be thermal tops, v-necks, and button up shirts with top 2 or 3 buttons undone every once and awhile. Get yourself some cool jeans(AE is usually good, any name brands, I wear Helix). Also get some outstanding shoes(Nike 6.0s or Air). Wear a belt. Just stay classy. You'll get a fashion sense eventually. 2. You can probably go with a friend that is invited... If you want to ensure acceptance... bring a chick. I usually just tell my parents I'm going to a friend's house... Just don't come home shitfaced and you're good. (I never drink) 3. Depends what dance it is... If it's like Homecoming or Prom, than you should probably have a group of friends that is going out to eat with their dates and you just bring yours. Most people go in groups to dances. I don't think you usually ask girls to normal dances... I hope I answered all the questions you had. I did the best I could. You'll learn a lot more from personal experience in time. Just keep up a good spirit.

1. If you have any girls with style that your friends with, get them to help you with the shopping and colors etc 2. You can go with a friend but a pretty girl is better, bolt is right, I also tell my parents I'm hanging with a friend 3. Depends on the dance but if you can drive then I would drive her, gives you a chance to k close etc and a group would be desirable I have semi limited experience but I hope this helps!

Hey guys I'm new here too, got referred here by my friend Victor. The problem with me is in like 6th to 8th grade I was just fine with girls when I talked to them. But I guess being a loner over time took the skill away, and now I have very little confidence. I think I'm somewhat ok with fashion, like I try and match, but I'm not an expert at it or anything.
Tykenfitz You can wear just about anything with blue jeans since they're pretty standard wear for the most part, but you have to put more thought into it for other colored jeans and other pants. And in fact alot of times it's good to match colors together.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I'm going bowling with my friend tomorrow and there's gonna be some girls there so that'll be a good chance to try and get more social and try and talk to people. About the dance, the reason I asked is because I'm thinking about asking someone out to Homecoming. In the event that she says yes, I didn't know how it would work. I've been digging around in my closet and got some clothes I think look good so ill try an rock those lol

Ahhhh bowling, took an AFC there once to see how he handled a socail interaction with some girls I invited... so much lol Anyways, about school clothes... wouldnt know, i had a uniform at mine (pretty much all australian public schools do lol). But to uni nowadays, I usually rock either skinny jeans, rich boy leather shoes, or my peacocking shoes, a button up clubbing shirt, sunnies on my head, necklace, bracelet, wrist bands, thongs (i think you yanks call them flip flops o.O haha), shorts with the cuffs rolled up a couple of times, big sexy singlet, or whatever. I just like to feel comfotable Dances... can't help you since we dont have homecoming or anything here but our dances rock

Lol the girls canceled out of bowling, just 3 dudes, it was fun but pretty lame in a social sense lol
Gotta question, next week is spirit week at my school, do you think I should like go all out with the shit your supposed to wear? Like maybe it'd be a easy way to start conversations and just a silly attention-bringing thing. Or will I just look like a douche?

I would say participate but don't be absolutly ridiculous about it, a school hat or shirt(jersey if your on one of the teams) or something but don't be that loser with facepaint that is way to hardcore into it unless your someone who can pull it off without being a tryhard

Tell them your staying over at a friends house? Helps if you have a friend who your parents will never meet their parents, and just crash at their house, not that I'm encouraging your rule breaking

Like every day this week is a different theme, tomorrow the juniors are supposed to dress up like a scientist from Jimmy Nuetron. Seems kind of silly to me. I get my boot off Wednesday so i can dress for the homecoming game friday and I can get my Varsity letter. So, I'm in a pretty good state of mind and I think that's helping. I'm gonna try and get some better fitting shirts for myself, but the only place I really buy myself clothes is rummage sales, is that gonna be a problem? It's not like I buy the shitiest clothes on earth there. I'm gonna go to homecoming and i'm gonna ask someone out tomorrow, but if she says no is it weird to go w/o a date? and I plan to hit up the after party aswell
