I sleep only 7 hours and I think it is enough for any person. I am healthy and one important thing is that you should sleep proper to get relaxation and sleep on your back.

In terms of eating and exercise it all depends on your goals. If you wish to put on accumulation you eat a ton of advantageous kilojoules afore and afterwards to accumulate your body's activity levels topped up but if you wish to get cut and accept analogue you accept to let your physique use its fat stores as energy.

In technical terms you only have to sleep for two hours in any given day and you will get the same amount of energy and rest but the problem is you need to take 20 minute naps every 4 hours consistently without any mess ups. Look up polyphasic sleep, or the uberman sleep schedule.

I saw that, but don't advocate it because even if it DOES work, if you miss one nap by 2 hours it screws you up for days. Plus what the hell are you going to do at like 1-7 am.... It's better to just sleep like a normal human being. If you go to a friends house what are you gonna do, nap 2 times at his house? That would be odd.

Look up polyphasic sleep, or the uberman sleep schedule. this is all based on psychological need for REM sleep, it has nothing to do with healthy deep sleep. The most efficient and powerful method for sleeping is 6-7 hours of regular sleep, and a 30min nap between 1-4 PM . Polyphasic sleep doesn't work and unless you try something don't advocate it. It can be dangerous, esp. for young people with our rapid growth.

Not saying I recommend doing the uberman schedule just saying you could get by on 2 hours, definetly not what I do or would ever do. Thought I would clarify

You do know that the deeper stages of sleep are meant for cleaning the body of toxins, regulating body temperature and hormones, and anything else dealing with resting your body, but not so much about the mind, right.

If we don't sleep, insomnia, everything goes to shit, but if we sleep over 8 or 9 hours we start to feel like shit. Our parents drill the idea that 8-10 hrs is healthy sleep and thats all you need to remember. There are actually better ways but to better explain those ways, I need to explain internal clocks and sleep cycles.

It relaxes the parts of the brain that deal with emotion and cognitive actions, thus decreasing stress. You go through 4 REM periods, or 4 dreams, along with an extra "day dream" when you wake up; explaining why one might have different, unconnected pieces of the dreams they had that night when waking up in the morning.

If one sleeps for 10 hours, that means that their body's natural cycle of sleep is interrupted. In a full, uninterrupted sleeping cycle, they would wake up 8 hours after they fall asleep every night. So if one were to go to bed late and wake up early, the cycle would be interrupted. The feeling of wakefulness you get when constantly waking up after 6 hours is your body trying to adapt to the new times. But if you notice, you HAVE to take that afternoon nap and you will be more tired as the day wears on.

Heart attacks and strokes are more common during the early morning hours. This fact may be explained by the way sleep interacts with the blood vessels. Researchers believe that during sleep, neurons can shut down and repair any damage done during the day. Without these repairs, the neurons may not function correctly due to a buildup of waste products. Sleep also seems important for the formation of memories.

Your energy is also directly impacted by your internal body temperature. Also your body loses energy when there is no sunlight because a chemical in your head is released when you dont see sun to make you sleepy.
