I have had this idea but with you thinking you have been in this forum longer than us making you more knowledgeable with your gay "PUA" I bet if i took a newcomer and he listened to all I said in a 1 on 1 skype I can GUARANTEE I will be able to help him more than you can.... Because it's a lot easier to teach someone to be a natural if you can real time video talk to them so it's quicker and you can show them without text.... shampoo makes some good points, but first ill address where i think you were wrong:

1. rep means very little, and i'm not going to look at bad advice and think 'oh his reps good so the advice must be alright'
2. posting the same shit over and over literally is no help at all. You can just keep bumping old threads rather than do that. But i think you'll find those threads, with the important information that people ALWAYS repost, are the one's that are STICKIED so that people can reference them easy and see that they're meant to be looked at. So no, posting the same thing is not helpful. Hence yeah, i feel i can step in and say, i've seen this sam basic thread about 5 times, and this is least helpful, so go look at the most helpful one - and as i said before, you'll find it easier to.

I was actually very happy with the rest of your post, canned material gives the user a fall back. The human brain is an ass, and goes blank at the worst of times, so having canned material just shoots in there to help out, plus when it works you get that added confidence, i'm happy to admit i still use the occasional canned line
ALSO, yes i'm very natural, but even so i repeat my own lines, my own natural lines, based on the one's that work, so technically could you call that canned material? if you think yes, then i dont give a fuck, cause i'm going to keep using them and acting in the way that i feel is most natural for me. If you feel natural using canned lines, then use them, you'll get good results hopefully. At the end of the day this forum is all about results.

Which brings me to my second point, or rather, shampers second point.
The typical 'go natural' argument really is bullshit. Not intrinsically, in fact it's a beautiful idea - but telling someone 'GO NATURAL AND CUT YOUR PUA SHIT' without elaborating whatsoever is like walking into a maths class, throwing away a guys calculator and telling him to guess the answers and stop being a pussy.
And finally, the forum hasn't gone to shit, far from it. There's so many arguments i could put forward to oppose this, so just trust in my logic that the forum is just fine.

Sloth you are right about the natural canned lines. I have things I repeat a lot with different girls.

And Shampoo, when you are studying for an exam (im referring to high school) don't you mostly re-read the notes your teacher gave you since that is THE HIGHEST QUALITY and best available information for you to benefit from. Like sloth said (again, good shit) you could just re-read the best threads on each topic and the other posts in that thread for extra ideas. Instead of reading weaker/less informative versions.

I can agree with both sides of this argument. With the topic of repeated threads... They're fucking annoying, and usually don't say anything too useful but the satisfaction of seeing another person make some mental progress.

You know what would be a GREAT idea to fix this??? The MODS should actually use their MOD powers and start closing/deleting this threads after a post about why, and redirecting them to a fuller article. People can still read it if it's just closed, but we're not gonna have endless posting on the same thing. That's kinda the whole point of being a Mod, but that really hasn't been fulfilled around here too much to my knowledge.

On Shampoo's 2nd point. I could not agree more. I'm really tired of seeing the same thing on every thread asking advice. People saying to just google something or saying there's already stuff written on the forum about it ect. This is absolutely shit. Instead of just saying "we're not gonna be bothered to tell you so just google it" how about redirecting them to a good article about it or giving them FULL, advice. A simple link would be a lot more helpful. Either post something useful or don't post anything at all

Shampoo's third point is pretty much mutually agreed on. Canned stuff is not "shit" or "gay" just because you don't like it, and not all of it is equal. Doing something like a simple push/pull line isn't nearly as canned as a complicated, step-by-step opener/rapport transition. And even in the case of the latter, it's a fairly good starting point. That's how we all got here. And it's kind of in the name... High School PUA Forum. Seriously, if it bugs you THAT much, find a different site, make one or shut the fuck up. And you can all say how you don't care what I think, but seriously, get over it.

And back to the rep/articles topic, rep, on this forum at least, does have a semblance of meaning. The people with high rep have that for a reason and there articles, for the most part, are very good. Yeah it's good see people with the same philosophy, but we don't need ten threads to say it when one or two articles can explore it very deeply and much more effectively.

A lot of good points have been made and its too bad the staff (myself included) aren't more helpful but we have lives, and are heading off to the "real world". For me its very difficult to help someone with something that I myself am still developing. For example I could help someone with a conversation one on one about attraction but relationships or making life long friends and I won't even attempt it.

As for repetitive posts/questions.... Don't be so fuckin lazy and read a post, especially the stickied (giggity) ones.
