As for asking questions, why not? If it interests you then go ahead, and find the answers. as Socrates said, the unexamined life is not one worth living. It's all about the joy of learning and acquiring knowledge...even if it doesn't directly improve your life and help you get a sweet job and car and fuck Stifler's mom.

That said.....there's a point where you should stop asking questions if they really are irrelevant. Go out and live life in ignorant bliss, you know, spend time with your family, have some fun, or maybe, possibly, fuck some women, faggot. Lol cuz you don't need to know the answers to everything in order to live life happy

the 10% thing comes from the grey brain matter which is the surface portion of the brain where the cell bodies are found. this is the portion of the brain responsible for thought, sensory perception etc and is the root of the 10% and then people misconstrue it to mean you have the potential to use the rest but don't.

I learnt that in university biology btw

I agree with everyone Mostly, sketch. How do you know you only use 10% of your brain? How do you know what you know? Have you ever actually examined a brain? If so, how do you actually KNOW what each section does? Because someone told you. At some point, SOME kind of assumption has to be made or we could never make progress. That's why all scientific "laws" are theories. Gravity is a theory... You can never KNOW for certain ANYTHING.

I also believe everything in life is completely meaningless. With that, I believe that everyone has their own opinion and I care not what it is. No one is right and no one is wrong - it's all opinions. So, I let people live how they want. If you want to live an unexamined life, then be my guest. If you want to question everything and learn - go right ahead. I'm not going to tell you that your priorities are wrong.

ALSO, my ending thoughts... How do you know you can trust what you learn in your AP Psych class (lol) or your University Biology class? How do you know it's reliable and valid? How do you even know it's up to date? I know right now that whatever class Personal Trainers have to take to get qualified teaches them complete bullshit. Any class could be teaching misinformation. You just never know.

Figure out what your morals are, what you stand up for, and lift some weights. Id recommend reading meditations by marcus auerillus to get started before you go aff reading sartre, rand, socrates, or any of those peeps.

Also, fuck your education dudes. Sure your going to class and learning that shit, but if you dont apply it, you have learned nothing. The world is big and so much of what your learn about this shit is out there, not in class.TBH ten percent brain is bullshit, but my point is that until youve got a phd, and even then its still sketch, dont even bother with education as a reason why you understand what your talking about.
