First of all, you need to get the idea that you suck out of your head. Then you must realize that you could say almost anything to "break the ice" because if you're not creepy and your target isn't busy, you'll be able to enter conversation proper with ease. Finally, read Conquer your Campus or some Brad P to get your shit straight, then never read a PUA book again.

First of all, this problem cannot be solved by reading a million PUA books. What you are lacking right now is confidence (also known as inner game).

You need to learn to love yourself and not give a fuck what other people think of you. Now don't take this too literally. There's many people who just do bad stuff and stuff not socially accepted because they are told to not give a fuck. Don't do this. Just live and learn and love life. Don't take life so seriously, and definitely don't take social interactions so seriously.

I'm sorry Mr. Bravo, but I disagree. I didn't get The Game until I got good and I did fine without it. While it is a good story, that's all it is: A story. There is honestly nothing in that book that you can really take away from, well maybe a few life lessons, but other than that it's not necessary.

well apparently i've walked around my whole life and girls around me called me cute but i thought they were talking about someone else. also shady cause i was the bad ass in middle school. now i gotta figure out what to do next and if it was a compliement thats embarassing.
