WHY AM I AN AFC??

My name is not Cork. I don't like the name, it just popped into my head. I'm tall, slender and tan, and have golden brown hair and eyes to match. I have a way with words, I can sing amazingly and I'm Extemely confident. So why am I an AFC?

Last weekend, my friend and I went to the mall. He had read The Game by Niel Strauss. I hadn't yet. About 2 hours into our sorry excuse for sarging, two very hot girls (hb8 or 9) passed us by, turned around and told me they liked my shorts. (is this an IOI or just teasing?) They proceeded to walk away, looking back and giggling. After this happened a few more times (pathetic, I know) We finally got up the guts to talk to these girls. eventually, my friend bought them smoothies at a stand and went to the restroom. Next thing I knew, I found myself making out with both girls at the same time.

So I have social proof, in a sense.

SO WHY AM I AN AFC?

Like a lot of you, I've read through many of the countless writings of Mystery and Style, including THE GAME, sat through what must be nearly every lecture that's ever been recorded of Mystery and Lovedrop's, but something's missing...

All of today's great PUAs seek to educate an audience that excludes me.

I'm in High School. Sure, there's principles and gambits that are universal, but I don't know how much game can be stretched down to my age level as a sophomore in high school.

So this question is mainly posed to the supervisors: are there any techniques and material designed specifically for my age group on which i can base my own gambits? If so, I'd love to keep this thread going, because I know a lot of us here are in the same boat..

1. Don't get into the whole deal with using canned routines and gambits. DONT. If you woud like, I can explain to you why this won't work as well as other 'methods'.

Well, first dont think of creating material first. First and foremost, you need to learn the reason behind why things work. Why material and routines work. And whats the point of it, and whats its purpose? Once when you understand why, then you can create your own stuff. But really, once when you understand simple things...you can just make up your own in field during the moment.

Things you need to learn is: Why IOD's work, and when to use them (negs, false disqualifyers ect. fall under this). Why IOI's work, and when to use them (soi's fall here of course). Calibration, Push - pulls, prizability, cocky funny.

Once when you know why things work, you can just wing it.

The problem, it feels like, is that I'm peering with my nose pressed against the glass at a world of people who do what i've always dreamed of doing, and make it look like they're tying their shoes, it's so easy. I have no problem walking up to a set and opening. I can get to where I sit down and talk. I can strut up to a girl, smile, say "hey, whats up" or "hi i'm Truett"(my name) or any other pathetic, plastic line, but every single time, i get fried, because i don't know how to read the god-forsaken language.

The aforementioned mall girls sought ME out. and not because I'm some kind of AMOG, and not because I made them feel special, but because they liked my shorts, and later discovered that my hair and eyes are even better.

I'm gifted with looks, and have exceptional skill with words, but I ice out whenever I try to shine, because I can't read the cues and duly react.

And therein lies the rub. That's where I need help.

Here's the deal:

No one Pick up guru has all the answers. Have you ever noticed how almost every other Pick up guru has completely different approaches to pickup yet they still get amazing results?

I mean Zan goes up to women and tells them they're beautiful (a huge no-no by almost every Pick Up Guru) and it works for him.

All you need is your inner game set up right and an approach that works for you.

That's all it is.

All the routines, all the techniques it's just ways to make you feel confident in what you're doing or to "fake it till you make it".

I have my own method. Some people agree with it some disagree, but it works for me and I get success with it and it will stay that way until my next breakthrough or I decide to switch it up just to test things.

Do what feels natural. Just don't act like an AFC.

lol i rather take a bit of everything from the gurus and just use what works for me like aaron says, make the ho say no is a tight line though.(i like to say that in my head when i get that what ifs when im about to go in for the close or start escalating kino) Anyways thats interesting about that zan
