Say it like you mean it. It works 90% of the time.

I used something similar often, but the thing is, I feel as if I'm guilt tripping her into doing what I want. If I'm saying YOU don't have to, I'm inadvertently saying she's the one holding us back and she's the one that isn't progressing.
Not the kind of state of mind I like, but hey, what works works I figure.

I usually have her be the nervous one in that position, not in a bad way, but I'm not the one who holds the stress of an interaction.
