=/, just tell the truth, whatever number of gfs you had is inconsequential, it only clues her in to your experience but there is no "right" answer. If you say you've had a larger number you may be experienced but something is also probably wrong with you, which is why your relationships failed in her mind.

If you say you had a small number you may be good boyfriend quality or you may be inexperienced.

So it really doesn't matter, just tell her the truth. Nothing is going to DHV you here.

If you haven't had any just go with "why so interested?" or something similar to deflect and possibly add mystique to the idea of "you"

actually I disagree, rolling off isnt too much thought necessarily and if your AFC you lose immediate value. there was a thread a month or two ago which had a good link to a website about this question. theres also ways that arent outright lies, such as reframing, but be careful with this question, answering truthfully is dangerous, has it not answering, try something creative, like the stalker one.

=/ you guys really overthink these things. If I can basically destroy my chances with a girl by insulting her desired career and aspirations, yet still succeed. I don't see how telling a girl you've never had a girlfriend ruins anything, I say it all the time, because the one girl I did "date" wasn't a real girlfriend...so I say I had none.

It all has to do with character congruency. Personally I've had a few girlfriends but the past is the past and I leave what happened, and how many, to debate. The most important part is not reframing or any of the other stuff I said, but being unaffected by the question and still remain yourself, try not to use routines. If its natural, its not always 100% truthful.

I was thinking more of the AFC who cant even do that King, mere beginners do not have the cajones to do that right out of the gate, not without some inner game settled. If he tries to even broach the subject is very way of acting will prove he is still AFC. Just subconsciously.

@op: What Prodigy said, there are a multitude of things that were suggested. Pick one. I'm not going to tell you not to do anything but some of them will seem better to you than others, and if the one you picked didn't work, it obviously wasn't congruent to you or was just plain bad.
