However, it's a bit more than 6 inches hard.

Don't worry dude. All dicks are different. Some only grow a couple of inches more when they get hard.
Others may go from 2 inches to 6 or 7. etc.
There's something called erectile tissue in your dick. The more you have, the bigger it gets when you get hard.

Nah bro, don't shave, trim. Shaving is risky, and plus it'd get stubbly and pimply if you shaved it. Trim it.
