Not only is this thread a year old, consuming only grapes and water is a pretty damned stupid way to lose weight. For anyone looking to lose weight, sensible eating and exercise is much much healthier than any ridiculous fad diet.

yeah this thread is madd long. But cali, just to stay on topic. cutting weight is a lot different then losing weight. When you cut weight, really you basically starve your self. Its for wrestling purposes only.
Once you start eating normally tho, youll regain it all in a few days lol

Well I think that cutting weight is might be difficult, it is depend on you that how much weight you wanted to cut, always try to drink one or two glasses of water before meals, this will make you feel more full and so you won't eat so much, don't eat more calories. Always try to do regular exercise.

At 160 for instance in JV, I'd kill because I'm so strong compared to everyone else because of my size, in varsity though it'll just level the playing field.

Weigh-ins will be in the morning, and I never eat before tourny weigh-ins anyway. I've started subbing carbs at dinner for more vegetables so that should keep me from adding on anymore weight, here's to hopping my energy level doesn't drop that much.

Nothing, I'm naturally 171. I walk into practice after lunch and weight 171 on the dot. Update though, today after practice I was 167.3 and I didn't even really practice so hopefully it won't be much further.

Your coach is gonna have to understand a good sum of the weight is water...and that will forever be the case. One day you could be 160, the next you could be 165...just on water.
Don't starve yourself, no matter how much the coach wants you at 160, he needs to realize, your body will eat up your muscle...and you don't gain that easily. Just eat 6 small meals a day, so that your body programs itself to use it and get rid of it, and do alot of cardio.
Tabata Burpees...worst 5 minutes of your life.
