Sorry for dead thread but everytime i use this they say they love me as a friend? you have to have that playfully cocky attitude/tone. I usually get pretty good responses from this, you might just be friend zoned |

Make it less playful. Haha if you have to choose between the "asshole" end of the cockyness scale and the "playful" end, lean more on the asshole side. (lol) I'm extremely cocky but I notice that I'm usually really playful rather than mean. And I've been getting friendzoned a fucking lot lately....I'm pretty sure it's because of the fact that i'm more playful than assholey.
But I guess I'm just more on the playful side by nature, instead of mean. It's just my personality. Idk if it's a good idea to go trying to change your personality..that's something that was covered on this forum a while ago by jmac I think. But idk. I feel like I should really try to tip the scale a bit.
Being more mean than playful just makes you look like more of a man, period. The guys that usually mess delicately with girls are the "gayish" types, the ones that get friendzoned a lot. You can see that when they poke their female friends, give them awkward, not-quite-full-hugs, laughing along happily and all that shit. The guys that give a girl a big, fully-enveloping bear hug, or push girls around, hold their poker face for a minute, and then give a small smile to let off that they're just joking? They tend to be the jocks and players, the "assholes", the guys that get girls. That's just how it always works. So idk if it's a good idea to be changing my personality but, fuck it whatever. I'm going to try and be just a little more extreme when it comes to cockyness...just subtly though. I wonder what your guys' opinions are on this...?

it's not about cockyness tbh, cockyness is good if you know how to control it, but if you don't then don 't concentrate on it.

Yeah dude but take my advice with a grain of salt. I've never gone all out asshole (partially cuz I don't really know how lol whatever) Sloth if you can't be cocky, what's the alternative? Pretty much every guy I see who gets girls is "cocky&funny" in some way

I said dont concentrate on it, theres slways going to be a point where u say something that could be seen as cocky. But more importantly theres countless alternatives, think of a bunch of personality traits. Cocky is just one. Admittedly i am cocky, but you can be normal, tease a girl, make her laugh, be flirty and make her smile without saying stuff like 'my ass is great' or 'god you totally love me'. HOWEVER if you wanna take action n practise cf and probly get some rejections then do, i get plenty through cockyness, and i learn from each one. Of course... They arent ALL rejections  (y) |

It is a fine line with cocky and it's all calibration. I have more success towards playful. Not to sound cocky here lol but when people think your attractive, dress well, are successful, etc they are looking for reasons to bring you down in their mind such as you being a dick or cocky. That's why I got fucked right over for being really cocky. Also if your not very funny (like me), cocky isn't the undertone for funny like it should be. Cocky is good (to an extent), quiet confidence is golden. God I'm terrible at organizing my thoughts

I always get told I'm really cocky, really mean etc and then she's eating out of my hand ;D
I balance it though by being really playful and funny as fuck. It works damn well for me
Being cocky is great but you have to balance it
