An open loop is a statement that draws people into wanting to know the answer, but you don't tell them it.
ex.
pua: Omg!! I have the absolute best nick name for you! her: what?!?! pua: Ill tell you later
Now the key to doing open loops is to cut and stack right after you present it. Alternatively, you could add to the open loop by enticing them some more, by emphasizing how important it is (or how cool ect).
But beware, if you entice them more - you CAN'T dwell on it otherwise they'll get pissed. So make sure you cut and stack asap
