it was pretty good for a movie but they had to cut too much from the comic

The comic deserves recognition as a great work of art.

The story concerns a group called Crime Busters and a conspiracy to kill and discredit them. Moore's characterization is as sophisticated as any novel. More importantly costumes no way of telling stories, but they allow Moore to investigate issues of power and control - indeed it was Watchmen, and to a lesser extent Dark Knight, that propelled forward comic genre, making "adult" comics a reality
