I'm saying stop breaking all the steps down. You don't need all that.
Simply chill, and believe whatever you're doing is going to work.
Because it's really hard NOT to screw up.
And even if you do, it won't matter anyways. Picking up chicks is not that big of a deal.

In my opinion, people who are not socially calibrated/interesting need to stick to routines word by word in order to pull. once you become socially calibrated, or "cool" you don't need it anymore. it works, but if you absorb the message (DHV, Kino, ect.) you can make it up as you go. and I totally agree with what your saying about the confidence thing with the routines.
