So we all know that stress is extremely harmful to the body yes?
It is incase ya never really thought about it, google "stress harm" and read up.
So I found that when people 'neg' me or 'amog' me or simply insult me, I'll kinda feel stressed. No matter how 'low value' or 'pathetic' they are, it gets me self conscious. Now what I'm doing at the moment will determine how quickly my mood changes. If I'm bored, I'll make myself probably even more depressed.
If I'm out having fun, it'll probably affect me for 3-4 seconds.
Anyhoo, I found the best way to get rid of this stress is NOT to ignore it but to accept it and look into the roots of it.
Really. It helps to find out WHY the insulter said such things, if they were TRUE, and so on.
If a person whom I never met before goes "You're a fag." and he or she hasnt been getting attention for the past 5 minutes, I'll just go "Oh. I'm not really a fag. S/he just needs some attention right now."
If a person goes "You suck at guitar", I'll think about why.
Maybe I played a rough set that night, maybe he or she just wants to feel like they're a big critic. Ya know? It all has a reason.
And most of the time, the reason is based off purely on that person's own insecurities or jealousies.
Not always though. You gotta accept the fact that you are not perfect. If you just started PUA and someone goes "You suck with chicks."
That someone's an asshole. But he's right. You do suck with chicks.
But again, most of the time it's because the aggressor is insecure/jealous/angry, etc. and he or she didn't actual mean what they said.
Really. Instead of trying to ignore something, find out why! It helps you improve yourself along with feeling better.
The whole 'the other person's insecure' deal is something I've talked about multiple times in the Confidence Board alone. I feel it's really really important. So I hope you like.
