I think one of the most important things in studying body language (one of my specialties) is knowing what to look for and have something to watch to learn.
Once you can read body language fairly well, its pretty much like learning a whole new universal language. You start to see patterns in how people operate and communicate with each other.
Body language is vital if you want to become good with women, because while situations become on the whole easier to read, you learn better to communicate an Alpha persona which is what draws women.
If you dont know what an Alpha is, think of that one guy in your school or class who everyone is immediatly drawn to, who seems like he could be everyones friend and beautiful women FLOCK to, and nobody wants to mess with this guy. Now, being alpha is different from AMOGing, or being the AMOG that you must disarm in a set. The AMOG is less knowledgeable in all things pickup and body language, and so you know how to get him to lay off or use him to your advantage to gain proof or value
If you guys found any of this at all helpful im probably gonna end up writing a ton of posts on this stuff later.

One of the best ways to learn Alpha body language and have a commanding presence is to watch movies with alpha characters.
Lets see if we can make a monster list of 'required viewing' for alpha characters.
Top Gun
Van Wilder (one of my favorites)
Pulp Fiction (ESPECIALLY the scenes in the beginning with Samuel L jackson and the end with Samuel L Jackson)
James Bonds
Be Cool ("If your important, people will wait for you")
Just to get you guys started
