This is a problem that i think happens more with newbs to intermediate level PUAs. Having your identity be a pick-up artist.
I think sure, go ahead and make that part of your identity if you want, but there is a big risk you need to be aware of. Maybe it has happened to you...
Have you ever got into this stuff and maybe told your friends about it trying to make them think your this big PIMP? And then when they are like "ok dude, we wanna see you in action." You feel instant pressure and anxiety. Thats because you are being pressured to live up to your PUA identity.
This can even happen with just yourself. You can be telling yourself your such a big pimp and this makes you fear rejection a ton not because of embarassment, but because if you do get rejected, its messing with your PUA identity. This can create a lot of anxiety guys.
So here is the solution. Laugh at yourself every now and then. You do not have to live up to that identity. Even if you do have PUA as your identity, remember this: The best guys with women get rejected more than ANYBODY. Thats what makes them great. Dont be thinking that you are such a big bad ass PIMP all the time. Personally, i dont like to think of my self as a PUA, ok well i do, but its definitely not who i am, its not my identity. I think of myself as a cool social guy who is great with girls, but of course i allow myself to fail. Failure is acceptable, as long as you learn from it.

I HATE the titles of PUA rAFC AFC etc etc. Your either good at what you do, your very good at what you do, your not good at what you do, or maybe youve never even heard of it.
The only thing thats become part of my identity is the constant flirting with people that i do. That and the body language that ive intenalized

Dude i couldn't agree more with what you said here. I tried telling my 2 best friends what PUA's were and how i was trying to become one they were like "ok next time we go to the mall go up to any random chick and get their #." there was definitely a huge pressure and anxiety that i felt,

I intro'd my friend into this stuff and he pressured me to #close a girl. Normally that woulda been no problem but because i was trying to prove myself, it led to a lot of anxiety.

Subscribing to any label in high school or anywhere else is stupid. You, as a person, are supposed to be above those things, not care about them.
