I'm not talking about the latest pick-up book or any of that. I mean books that have really changed the way you look at things. Or books that were just plain awesome. Just put down the name of the book, and then the author, and we'll see if we can get a decent list put together.
Catch-22 - Joseph Heller The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle Tuesday's with Morrie - Mitch Albom The Last Lecture - Randy Pausch Slaughter-House 5 - Kurt Vonnegut Breakfast of Champions - Kurt Vonnegut Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess
If anyone has read any of those, give some feedback, what did you think of them etc...

The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra Finding Fish - Antwone Fisher Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck Catch Me If You Can - Frank Abagnale

Power of now. awesome book, i love opening it and reading sometimes, I always get a kick out of that book no matter how many times i read it. it reminds me that all we have is now to do something bout our lives.
Fight club by chuck palahnuk? i'm surprised this book isn't on here. I just finished reading it yesterday. the narrator's voice is very unique in a twisted way. this book rocks, and after i read it, i felt completely content with my life for some reason xD it goes in correlation with the power of now, which is kinda nice.

Oh! I won't mention the PUA ebooks, although they are golden, there are dozens of "the best pua ebook" posts on the internet already.
SO: 1984 - George Orwell Animal Farm - George Orwell Brave New World - Aldous Huxley (I hope I spelled his name right) Father Goriot - Honore De Balzac Madame Bovary - Gustave Flaubert Youth in Revolt series - C. D. Payne Net Force series - Tom Clancy The Godfather - Mario Puzzo (much much much better than the movie; I read the book first and the movie seemed stupid to me) Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling (a STRONG moral support and stance, plus it's really interesting)
Actually it's hard to talk about the books that made better me, these are my favourite books and reading them made me who I am today, so they all built better me. I'd emphasise The Godfather and 1984 along with Animal Farm and Brave New World as the most influential.

I think I'm going to read Animal Farm soon
Honore Balzac, Horny Ballsack.
I took French, that's a literal translation.

It's hard to believe that i actually had to go to amazon to look up the authors. The February Man by either Milton Erikson or Rossi. (when you finish reading it, you'll be proud of yourself for managing to read it.) Peace like a River by Leif Enger (just plain awesome) The Game by Neil Strauss (i know it's pick-up, but its the only novel i ever pulled an all-nighter reading) How to Rule the world: a handbook for the aspiring dictator by Andre de Guillarme (it inspired me ) And the Harry Potter series. by the way, is anyone gonna talk abou how the "for Dummies" series changed their lives? I just wanna hear it. lol

I read Puppies for Dummies when I got my dog. I've also read hockey for dummies when I first started playing hockey, I can't say they really affected me though.

-All the Harry potty series -National Geographic Mag -My text books They help create a better future for me lol. I already have a plan to see the new Harry Potter movie opening night, but I want to dress up like Voldermort *gasp* and keep saying, "I hope Harry dies in this one!" while rubbing my hands together. How many girls do you think I can "spear" with my "wand" in one night?
