We all feel a little embarrassed, but I know that underneath every single one of you there's a little kid that still loves everything you loved in grade school. My friends and I have recently started talking about what we loved when we were little, and it's really tons of fun. We've bought Legends of the Hidden Temple shirts online (LOVED that show), had huge debates about the merits of Rugrats vs. Rocket Power, and my cross-country team once named all 151 original Pokemon in one run, a godlike feat.
But above all these, Harry Potter reigns supreme. Chicks love that shit, and so do I! We've had Harry Potter movie nights, and yesterday we played Quidditch, which by the way is incredibly fun and dangerous when played full contact (HUGE number of injuries, and running barefoot on turf=blood blisters. Ouch). Also planning on going to the midnight showing of the new movie.
My point is, you're never too young for nostalgia. I'm not saying you have to spend all your time with your friends living in the past, but chances are that nearly every one of your friends feels the same way, but doesn't want to bring it up because they feel they'll look like a loser.
It's a HUGE DHV to show that you don't care what other people think, you're going to have fun anyway!
Sometimes being a nerd is the best way to be cool ;D
