My exams are almost over. I am a pretty fit and athletic guy. I wasn't always like this. I was very overweight, but i did something about. I worked hard and lost more than 21 kg of weight. Now, I think its time for me to move up the ladder of fitness one more time. I am joining a youth gym in my neighborhood. I am going to build my body. The only thing i know about body building is it is very different from losing weight. I searched the web but there are just so much information, i bet more than 80% of it is bull-fish. I want someone to show me the way, preferably from someone who has build their body. Also if anyone had tried any programs and you liked it, please recommend.

Bodybuilding.com probably isn’t the best website around to learn from. Half of the people on there don’t know shit, and it has a pretty bad name because of this.

A lot of people swear by rippetoes starting strength, you may want to try that. I reckon you should do a basic 3 day split, find some exercises that work well for you and be consistent.

If you're just starting look up rippetoe's starting strength, it is really the best for a begginner (i gained a bunch with it) and eat a lot. Don't skimp any of the exercises, esp. the squats.

I think that for building your muscles, you should follow a special routine and diet, Always try to have protein served with every meal, and also try to do regular exercise, I think that this will really help you for building purpose.

if you got any friends who lift regularly and are big, see if you can lift with them cuz they'll know. Some gyms have personal trainers too
