Okay... if any of you guys have every played the video game "Rainbow Six Vegas 2", you probably saw the feature that as you climb through the ranks, you unlock new equipment, weapons, etc.
I like to apply this to pick-up. I will use peacocking as motivation to take action or succeed. For an example, 20 cold approaches will let me buy myself a new ring... or maybe getting laid gets me a necklace. For some reason... this really motivates me lol! I see some new peacocking item i want, and its like "oh i can have that... once i get 20 more approaches under my belt and get laid." It works, try it.
NOTE: if your goal is something outcome oriented, such as getting laid, etc., be very careful to not get attatched to that outcome because if you are unaware, you could become attatched to the outcome you are striving for. Sure you always want to reach your goals but remind yourself this one outcome does not matter.

Haha you're training yourself. And it's not like you're getting something that won't help you with your game. It'll make getting the next item easier. However my thought process is more like, "Ooh, I like those jeans, but I have NO money" Ah, well
