The Ultimate “How To” Guide to Cocky + Funny
*Based off the teachings of David DeAngelo*
Of course, everyone knows the basics of Cocky Funny (Also known as Cocky Comedy) which is:
“Cocky Funny is the perfect balance between Cocky and Funny that drives girls wild. However, if you act too cocky, you’ll come off as arrogant and insecure. If you act too funny, always telling jokes, you can come off as the goofy clown. “
And then gives a simple example like:
“If she doesn’t find a dress that fits better, the fashion police are going to send the SWAT team after her ass” and then leaving with the simple phrase: “Start with arrogance, then add humor”
Well, guess what it isn’t always that easy, so I’m here to break down the tool that is Cocky Comedy.
To start off, I want to express that this is only a tool in your toolbox. OK? Don’t only use cocky funny because it will get real old real quick. Treat it almost like a neg that you can use a lot more than usual and get away with.
Ok, moving on.
First, I will explain why Cocky Funny works magic on the ladies.
1. It shows that you are going against the herd. Average people will not go up to a woman and say, “I realize you get no attention from men, so I thought I’d pay attention to you for a little while.” Real men who are funny and confident will and it will be a breath of fresh air for the woman… even if she doesn’t show it at first
2. It shows unpredictability which, coincidentally, is a attraction switch. No way, huh?
3. It shows you are comfortable in your own skin and not afraid of the woman’s beauty, which is a stroooooooong thing to show.
4. It makes the woman feel emotions
5. It shows you are higher status, which is also a great
attraction switch.
6. It shows them that you’re fun and don’t take things too seriously.
7. It shows you are challenging, yet another attraction switch.
Emotions are the most addictive chemicals in the world. This is why if you make a woman feel emotions she will love you. Being different causes emotions because she is so used to the same cheesy pick up lines that she is completely unemotional to these now. However, if you come in and be different, this will spark some emotions which will make her interested. Remember, any emotion is better than none. I’ve seen people at first piss a girl off only to fuck her later.
Now I would like to discuss status with everyone and how it relates to C&F, because not only does it play an important role in the art of PU, but it also plays a part in why Cocky Funny works as well as it does.
Well, when you are busting a girl’s balls (or lack of) it is showing that you are higher status. C&F is always about high status and expresses that you are higher status than the woman. Now why exactly does C&F show that you are higher status? Well, it’s because lower status people would never tease someone or bust someone’s balls for fear that they will upset them because lower status people are rapport seeking, fun suckers who base everything they do around being liked. On the other hand, higher status people aren’t afraid to tease or bust a ball or two because they are so secure and confident that they don’t need other people’s approval because all that matters is that they are having fun.
High status also plays a big role in laughter. In fact, laughter is the universal bonding communication and is rarely in response to something that is funny.
When you laugh you are basically saying, “Hi, I like you, I want to bond with you”.
Now would a woman want to bond with a low status person or someone who isn’t fun, dominant and is basically a wussbag?
Hell no.
Which leads to my next topic…
Don’t be afraid to tease the girl and break rapport. “Now, how is this related to laughter and status?” you might ask . Well Johnny, I’ll tell ya.
When you tease a girl or make her laugh, and you don’t laugh, it expresses soooooo many things. This includes:
The teasing communicates higher status.
Her laughing at the C&F joke shows she is seeking social acceptance.
You not laughing shows that you do not need her approval.
Also, when you don’t laugh and look dead serious at the woman after you deliver your line, it builds this tension which is key in creating attraction.
So please, please, please, when a girl gives a look like “I can’t believe you said that!” DO NOT say “Oh, I was just joking.” Because she knew you were fucking joking, and you just ruined all the tension you worked so hard to create.
Lastly, don’t laugh to make her laugh. This is because, not only are you lowering your status, but you are completely destroying all the tension. This is a big no no.
Well, now that I have gone through all the theory, I believe you are ready for how to create your own cocky comedy.
Cocky Comedy is all about character.
Humor doesn’t go into a character; it comes out of the character. You see, some stand up comedians don’t have to tell funny jokes. Why is this? It’s because they are the jokes. They have this character (or a trademark or shtick) which is what makes them funny.
Now let’s give you some examples of some good character types to use around women:
I’m superior to you
Victim of her seduction
Being cold in a funny way
The guy that only wants to know what’s in it for him
Being high–maintenance
Commentator of wusses
Imitating her
Become the Devil’s Advocate
She is always trying to charm you and she is pursuing (or stalking) you
She needs adult supervision
Now when you’re talking to women, make sure you don’t get too serious too soon. Your conversation should always be revolving around one theme and that theme is FUN. If she isn’t laughing or having fun, either you’re doing something wrong, or the girl is a cold bitch (and if that’s the case, run as fast as you can. They have nothing to give to you and are just a waste of time).
When you use Cocky Comedy, you imply that you two have a bond that can’t be broken.
Next, we got some great Cocky Funny themes:
Male and Female stereotypes
-The submissive housewife cooking dinner and washing dishes, or the masculine guy with rib stains on his wife beater.
Neurotic common relationship dysfunction
-If a woman busts your balls say something like “Why do you always have to make me feel this way!?”
Exasperation
-If she does something wrong or stupid, pretend like you are just disgusted or exasperated at what she did. “This is why we don’t have nice things”.
Grabbing a word and riffing on it
-Just take a word she says and either misconstrue it or just start vibing with it. This has a great chance of going sexual.
Finally, I will give you some good contexts of which to pull your Cocky Funny from:
Style
-“I like that shirt…did your seeing eye dog pick that out?”
Fitness, size
-Now be very careful with this one because these could earn you a slap in the face. It’s better if you use these on girls with high self-esteems. Low risk example for a short girl: "Those are some pretty tall shoes. You must be like what, 4 foot 7 without them?"
Age
-“What are you 12?” “Cute, you act just like my little sister.”
Cleanliness
-“I like your hair… imagine how good it would look if it was washed!”
Morality
-Act like she’s a criminal, or always does bad things.
Now, these examples that can be misconstrued for being mean, but it’s all about having fun.
Various other tools
Give her nicknames, but make her earn it. Start off with something like, “I have the greatest nickname for you!” This will always, always, always make the girl extremely curious. She will want to know her nickname so badly that she will work for it, even if it’s the stupidest nickname ever. Use this to your advantage and say something like, “Ok I’ll tell you…after you make me a sandwich.” Just be fun with it. Now when you give her the nickname, make sure it’s accurate, cute, and antagonistic.

Storytelling is a good way to buy time if there’s a lull in the conversation, but make sure you know how to tell good stories. A good outline of a good story is:
1. Build tension, it’s what makes them interesting. I’ve been experimenting with this and I’ve learned that you must not break tension until the climax or end of the story.
2. A funny or weird or twist ending is great and I definitely recommend utilizing.
3. Try and paint a picture, be as descriptive as possible. Make the listener feel like they were there when it happened.
Now usually, I don’t recommend asking questions, but to make statements that will get her to answer as if you asked her the question. But if you really have to ask questions, don’t ask boring questions. Ask questions that are exciting, sexual, or will cause a debate.
Short list of examples:
“What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you on a date?”
“Where’s the craziest place to ever have sex?”
“Which is the superior gender?”
“What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?”
When she pushes you, acts fake mad, or makes fun of you, simply say, “You love me”.
Accuse her of stepping over the line in picking you up in some way.
Mimic her.
Interrupt her repeatedly, and then add silence as if to encourage her to talk only to interrupt her again.
Lastly, I will leave you with some very important attitudes that will help you out tremendously when they become a part of your beliefs.
1. There is no downside
2. I’m indifferent to the outcome
3. I’m a catch and time with me is rare and valuable. She is getting the better end of the deal.
4. She wants me, but I’m going to tease her to see how much.
5. She’s going to have to prove herself as above-average, even though I suspect she is above-average.
And finally, I will leave you with these words of pick up wisdom. Most of the time the girl will provide with more than enough to vibe with or riff off of, be it her responses, her clothes, or the environment. Only use routines when you absolutely have to. Do not become a social robot.
