Lol I'll be the loser here and say the negs do have their place. Just don't tee off and be mean, but some girls egos in highschool are fucking monstrous. A good time to use it is after you've DHV'd and she, in all the perceived awesomeness haha, does a faux par. Throw in a neg then DHV somewhere else and the girl almost always IOI's.

Know when to use it though. Or you could just not use it at all haha. Never do it when your value and vibe is bad, or after you've DLV'd.

BTW, I've always interpreted the neg as a random quasi-insult, and not teasing someone after a faux pas. I've always liked doing that because it shows you're not afraid of the "elephant in the room."

I have this HB 9 friend, whose the hottest girl in her school, easily. She's got a huge ego cause of it, and when I talk to her it's hard to connect on any real level, cause she thinks she's too hot for anything. I like a confident girl, but she has a little ego so I neg whenever I can to make things easier for us both.

For example, I'll be telling a story to a group she'll be draining value, being a flat tire, interrupting and just being frustrating to everyone there. It's really hard for anyone to enjoy themselves when someones being like that, and the only reason they care about her behavior is because shes imposing her high value on them. So I neg. It doesn't have to be as subtle as mystery makes it, you can actually take it pretty far. Only once or twice though, don't tee off. Like this.

There. You should only use negs to punish bad behavior. Very important to DHV before and after though, cause it does take away value.

I don't mean to be so analytical haha, but yeah that's the reasoning behind it.

To each his own. I think to go for the girl who is wildly out of your league in high school (in terms of existing social value) may require one or two negs.

Not more mind you, and of course, many guru's consider negs to be old technology.

yeh, i would just treat her like my bratty little sister (be4 u start making out with her of course). I would talk to nicely with manners,(no negs yet), then if she acts like a bitch (most probably will), i would neg her and then freeze her out, (she will most probably respond to that), after all that, id just rely on my natural game

You gotta try something a few times. And i personally advocate "under the radar" negs, in which they would look like idiots if they got openly pissed. If they get pissed privately you can just reframe it away.
But sparing the negs is good because overusing negs can anchor negative emotions towards yourself.

i always tease girls about lots of things. but i'm extra careful about past relationships(i dont think i ever tease with this topic) and appearance(maybe some fat jokes now and then, still almost never).

it works on certain girls. girls who have no confidence cant take them, in highschool girls you dont know are unpredictable when you neg them. For the most part all the girls i know love it when i tease them, i dont insult them, i smile and talk with them

Guys, I know how easy it is to say "Negs have a place. Girls with massive egos/bitch shields/a billion other things can be gamed easier blah blah blah."

The thing is that all that stuff comes from a MASSIVE perceived difference in value. In middle school when we were all that frustrated kid who got no ass there was that difference, and we frequently encountered bitchiness and so we think that it still exists somewhere.

IF YOU'RE A MODERATELY ATTRACTIVE, MODERATELY FUN-LOOKING GUY, YOU DO NOT EVER NEED TO NEG.

The Mystery neg's job is to get women to take you seriously, but as long as you hold your head up high and aren't wearing running shoes, sweat pants, and an ill-fitting t-shirt from your dad's work, YOU DON'T NEED THEM IN HIGH SCHOOL.

Teasing is different, but I'm not talking about teasing and I don't want to because there's too much confusion about it in this thread.
