I figured I would make a thread for mesomorphs to discuss fitness that relates to our body types. I am a mesomorph with a great bone and muscle strutter and I have a little too much body fat maybe 20-25 pounds I need to lose to be in perfect shape. The fat is only in the ab and peck area when I stand up straight I look find but it bothers me a bit. I respond to most exercise and can drop fat and gain muscle but my motivation is a bit lacking and I tend to binge eat towards the end of the day. So I think what I need to do is intense cardio maybe 20 minutes straight on the exercise bike with 30 minutes of ddr lol to warm me up first and then some heavy bag training for another 30 and then 20 minutes of lifting each day. To address the binge eating I think maybe eat throughout the day to get my blood sugar under control and eat mainly veggies, fruits and lean meats like chicken or fish for lunch and then lean beef for dinner. what are your guys thought? What works for you?

Well as to your diet plans, eating lots of veggies and lean meat is ideal, make sure you are getting some wholegrain breads/cereals as well.
I can't say that I like your workout plan though, I think that after all of that exercise you will be too tired to give your lifting the effort it deserves. So do a quick warmup, then your weightlifting, then do the cardio at the end. As well as increasing your muscle hypertrophy, this will help your fat loss. This is because while you lift weights your body will deplete the glycogen stored in your muscles. Then when you do your cardio, your body will have used up all of its 'easy energy' and will burn more fat.

Dude that sounds good will do that from now on. I'm thinking of switching off the cardio between exercise bike and using the heavy bag.

The key to bodybuilding is doing what works for you. Switching around your cardio is a great idea, give a couple of systems a go and then decide which way is best. I just re-read your first post and saw the part about motivation, again you have to find what works for you, but my method is to make a folder with some pictures of your dream body, and if you ever feel uninspired, look through them. Good luck with losing those extra pounds!

Dude try intermittent fasting, google it. I'e been doing it for a couple of months, haven't lost any muscle mass and my metabolism is exactly the same as it was when I started. It's amazing, definitely do it.
