Hey, what the hell is wrong with me?
I can smile in any situation by thinking of something funny any time I want to. But, whenever I play the eye contact game with a cutie and they smile at me. I can never seem to smile back. Eye contact isn't the problem. The smiling back during eye contact is my dilemma.
Any tips?

yeah man, i know how u feel. See, its because you are under pressure and nervous. As a solution hmm. Try saying hi to as many chicks at the mall as you can, and try to keep eye contact and smile.

The key to the smile back is to be happy. You are (as Alek said) too nervous. When a girl smiles at you, smile back. When I have to have eye contact with someone I don't like, I look right through them. Just look through their eyes and past it. It's hard to explain but once you do it once, you can do it twice.
After you perfect that, actual good eye contact is easy.

haha yeah dude! I do the same thing, just look at em and stare past them. And if you do it, your kinda in like a fog, its hard to explain. +1

Be the confident one, the one who attracts her smile. IF she smiles and you cant smile back raise an eyebrow or something, show that you have taken note of her looking at you. Never smile first. If she doesnt smile then look away.
I call this scanning. I do it at lunch at school and for some reason it seems to be an easy way for me to identify girls who look interested in me and most who look at me end up approaching me. Weird huh?
