My customary 2 cents:

If you're not sure about saying something funny, don't. You don't have to be funny to be cool, and especially at parties, lame jokes are not good.

Don't interrogate people in conversations... you're having a good time just chill.

Screen people because as long as you don't look like a douche/dork you can be the coolest guy there in everyone's eyes even if you're not at school.

im wondering about the whole "dont be the drunkest guy there" thing. me and my wings objective is to go ahead and get there because around our friends (rural community=smaller parties) this normally breaks the tension and gets the energy flowing through all the stiff fuckers and prudes. It also destroys aa and just generally gives everyone a reason to open or be opened. i.e. her: youre so drunk! me: let's go bang. her: omg ur sooo funny! me: ...
lol. we just try to frame it so that were higher value anyways, drunk or not. yes no maybe?

You definitely do not want to be the drunkest person there.
Girls generally stay away from the drunk guys, unless they themselves are shitfaced and if that's the case, you generally want to stay away from them. No matter how you frame it, you are still the idiot who drank waaay too much.

P.S. If this is how you rationalize gaming, how do you game when you don't have alcohol. So you're saying that people don't have a reason to be opened unless you're blind drunk? All these things you should be able to do without the help of alcohol. It may be hard, but if you continue with this rationalization you're going to develop something called alcohol dependence. You definitely don't wanna depend on alcohol in order to game.

P.P.S. I'm not saying don't get drunk (I would be a huge hypocrite if I said that ) Just make sure you have some idea as to what's going on.

Also being the drunkest guy at a party has always worked in my favor, so its all subjective haha. Mind you I wasn't like black out drunk just a little bit crazier than everyone else.
