Texting too often

I don't want to come off as needy, but I want to talk. If I text/chat with people in the morning, have a conversation, and then talk to them at night is it too much? The girls are responding with interest, but they won't text me unless I text them. This about people I just met

You know, it's too much when you start to think "so what am I gonna say..." Really, as long as it just flows, there's no 'too much'.
As for replying too often, don't think about it. Think about what's more important. If you decided you're only gonna text once every hour and you're in a 10 hour train ride, you might want to go kill yourself. If you're at a party and you reply to someone and you see something hilarious after that, you can send that too, even though you just texted. My point is: Don't think about it too much. I text back right about when I get the text because I usually do something that can wait a few seconds, and have I lost any girls doing that? No. Mind you though, you don't want the girl to ask you what you're doing and your reply is "Yeah well, I'm at my mom's funeral. really boring, lots o' weepers here. wanna hang out?". it's bad because, well, it's a funeral and you're not really supposed to be texting, you know.

Just think, really. And don't worry, in the end you're the one to decide.

im gonna agree with zegoni. only text if you have something to say, dont text and come across as needy and trying to start a conversation. thats her job

Dude, if she's your girlfriend and you don't know what to do that says a lot about your relationship with her. I'm sure if she's your girlfriend only you know that answer.

well matt. if shes your gf, she obviously has enough attraction built up. more comfort wouldn't hurt, and talking builds rapport\comfort. so go for it.
