um i think so... since ur hair cant move freely like it does naturally it becomes brittle and fall out but again thts the hard crusty gels. There are many different type of gels

nah man, unless its a cheap hair gel, which may or may not be bad.
Avoid products with alcohol tho

avoid oilbased products, they literally kill your hair. I prefer sebastian hard clay mixed (1:1) with some of their softer-hold products. it's easy to wash out of your hair, and you get a fantastic feeling with your hair too! as for some expensive shit, try out alterna. that's like the rolls Royce of wax.

how long is your hair? Because if it is short, you shouldnt have to worry too much because itll grow and you can just cut it.

use of oilbased products simply kills the use of using shampoo. it doesn't dissolve in water, which means you basically still have the waxshit in your hair. of course, after literally 10 times, it'll be out... most of it. though it closes off the hair that your skin needs, and kills it. like a fucking moooonsterkill!
it's easy to fix though, just use waterbases products - they aren't nearly as greasy, and usually not as shiny either.
