It sounds like shit. How can a cynic not be successful when he has nothing to judge his success on? Is a paradox. He cannot NOT be successful if he is a cynic.

He cannot NOT be successful if he is a cynic. success doesn't need to be judged on anything. success is defined by the person who's aiming to achieve it. judging success on something other than your own expectations sets you up for disaster, because someone will always be more "successful" than you. and this guy makes a good point, you will NEVER get handed success, you gotta work for it. stop blaming your circumstances and work around it. nice.
