Having high stress levels can be very harmful to the body and mind. These levels can result in illness, sleep walking/talking and an extremely short temper... We all know what happens with the last one aye... Anyway, the way of reducing high stress levels is to: Avoid or eliminate stressful things (that doesnt mean homework) Try relaxation techniques or meditation. Taken from www.healthguide.org"The body’s natural relaxation response is a powerful antidote to stress. Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, visualization, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, and yoga can help you activate this relaxation response. When practiced regularly, these activities lead to a reduction in your everyday stress levels and a boost in your feelings of joy and serenity. What’s more, they also serve a protective quality by teaching you how to stay calm and collected in the face of life’s curveballs."Im posting this topic because I believe that as high school students/athletes/performers/PUAs/etc we all have a relatively moderate to high level of stress and that can in turn be very detrimental to all of us. Recently, my family and best friend have been telling me that ive been able to hold complete conversations in my sleep My best friend said that I was swearing alot when I was at his place... Did the research and the answer to it was [glow=red,2,300] stress[/glow]. So hopefully we can all get some yoga/meditation type stuff into our lives before anything gets too bad. peace, RoboCopp.s www.helpguide.org/mental/stress_relief_meditation_yoga_relaxation.htmThat is a great site and information center and how to deal with it.

i used to do meditation and some bacic yoga, but now i don't have time, but if you wanna lose stress thereis an audio tape from hypnotica( from the game) that really work. Go to www.hypnotica.org/privatedownloads.htm {copy paste} and listen for free to double induction. 30 minutes go by so freaking fast when thats on and when they take you out of the trance u fell calm for24 hours. don't listen to what they say, just listen to both guys talking and the music at once.

It may seem that there’s nothing you can do about your stress level, well according to my point of view, I think that managing stress is all about taking charge of your thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way you deal with problems. Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life. There are some stresses like the loss of a loved one that you can't hope to avoid and others that you can prevent or influence.

Tips for reducing stress are as follows:- 1. Get up 15 minutes earlier each morning. This will give you a little 'time to eat something, run back for something forgotten, or enjoy a cup of coffee before heading out the door. 2. Prepare accident. Make an extra copy of your house key and bury it in the neighbors yard, make a second copy of your car key and paste it in your colleague's office. Both can help you go home and inside the house if you lose your keys. If you have to use them, you tap on the shoulder to be smart. 3. Do not do something, if you lie later. Although this may seem obvious, nagging sense of guilt is often wears us or makes us anxious to be discovered . 4. Do something healthy for you. That could mean taking the stairs once a day instead of the elevator, picking one day a week for a salad for lunch, or eating fresh fruit instead of a chocolate bar.

Stress is measured in terms of arousal or stimulation. As such, stress must be present for a person to function. I think Yoga and few exercise are the best way to reduce stress. Stress Reduction is the process of relaxation.

Throughout the semester this course has focused on the negative effects of stress on health and strategies to help alleviate stress. I found myself particularly interested in examining stress and possible reduction strategies for medical students. If stress disrupts body balance and function, then is all stress bad? Not necessarily.
