Guys, hello. I haven't been here in a while, simply this "PUA" thing isn't just my cup of tea anymore. Somehow I've lost interest in it, and while it's still fun to read an interesting post or listen to a good interview, there are things that are far more interesting and rewarding to do.
Speaking of which, keyboard jockeying never got me laid. My life did.
In all these months, there are a lot of things I've learned. However, one sticks out. SET A GOAL.
Look at yourself in the mirror. You're high school now, you should know a bit who you are and what you like, what are you good at. You should know what you want to do with your life. What brings you happiness, relaxation, fun. (If you don't, go try a bunch of stuff until you figure out - roughly at least - in which direction you want to go).
Get it? That one (or more) thing(s) that you like doing, that you find yourself in? Good. Now, what do you want to achieve with that? Do you want to gig with your band? Smoke that good weed your friend just bought? Get on the state finals in a competition? Get to the last level of WoW? (OK, that doesn't count.)? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO? WHAT WILL GIVE YOU POWER TO BE HAPPY? WHAT WILL GIVE YOU HAPPINESS AND ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Got that one? Great. Now; PLAN. Plan what will you do - EVERY FREAKING DAY - that will get you there. Is it studying? Playing an instrument, singing? Working in a fast food so you could buy pot? Yes it is. Whatever you chose.
Bear with me on this one: THIS THING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE. NO ONE can take it from you. By no means can it be taken from you. Sure, the gig may be canceled; don't worry, you'll get the next one. The competition may be hard; if you've prepared well, it should be a piece of cake. See what I'm saying here?
This thing is your happiness. That is what you're doing to enjoy, what will bring you freedom. Now; There is only one person in whole wide world who cares about that; YOU. No one will help ya; this is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Are you willing to take the consequences? I think that you will and would (and should); for this is the one true thing for you to do.
