I've always had trouble working out. It's been off and on for years. I just turned 16 a month ago and have been using the Bowflex ultimate since then. I do the "Better Body" program(for beginners) that is in the booklet that came with it.
I'm never sore the next day like I used to be after using free weights. I always do 2 sets and 15 reps unless I fail. Would it be better to do one set at a higher weight?
Also, I don't drink any protein drinks. I'm only 16 but my dad keeps Whey Protein around. It says not to drink under age 18 though. I don't know what to do here...?
If you have any tips about the Bowflex, Protein Drinks, or Working out in general that would be great. I just feel like quitting again.

drink the protein dude.
also, 2 sets of 15 s too few. do at least 3 sets at around 10 reps per exercise. 4 sets would be even better. read the message i just left on eastcoast's post on recovery and you will be fine.
