whey protein is good directly after a workout.
Casein protein is phenomonal- just take some in water or milk before bed. It will give your body what it need sthrough the night when you are recovering, sicne it isa slow digesing protein, it will help your body all through the night.
Creatine is goo in itself- but CGT-10 will hel even more with added benefits for recovery, as you said you needed.
Aside from that, take a multivitamin and eat lots of fruits and veggies, especially berries- they are high in antioxidants that help your muscles recover.
its all about diet. Feel free to Im me with anymore questions: defon3000

Anitric oxide booster will give you incredible pumps. after your workouts, whey protein is your absolute best supplement to have. i find the cheapest and best protein out there is called "Healthy 'N' Fit Whey Protein". I always get the chocolate flavor and mix it with milk. tastes just like chocolate milk but has 45 grams of protein for one scoop.

Personally i use optimum nutrition's gold standard whey, really helps me recover from brutal workouts and it tastes great, especially the cookies and cream. Just make sure to take it with non fat milk.

Once you start off, just use whey protein so your body gets used to having supplements. Spiking anything quickly is never good. After awhile, start using creatine and then gradually add more supplements. Supplements can be inexpensive, and Wal-Mart has a ton of trusted and cheap supplements. Here's a list of what I use: Concentrated whey protein Creatine (Excellent for muscle recovery and endurance because it increases your muscle's water intake and rate) Zinc for testosterone (Better performance, athletically and sexually ) Multiminerals (Important, especially for MMA. Take 2 hours before increased activity. Very useful for keeping joints and muscles healthy and uninjured) Multivitamin pills with extra Vitamin C and B-complex pills (Blood flow, mental awareness, keeps you healthy) ALA aka Chromium to enhance the vitamins Selenium for testosterone and protein synthesis (Also keeps you healthy) BCAA - Branched Chain Amino Acids (Very important for protein synthesis and regeneration, also speeds recovery) GHB and GABA - Increases metabolism L-Glutamine - The best thing you can get for protein synthesis ------------------------- You don't necessarily need to take all or most of these, but they definitely increase your performance. And def- I'll have to look into those, haven't really heard much about them but they sound appealing.

Okay this is what's up...
Soreness is caused by damage to your muscle fibers. When your muscles repair themselves, it uses a lot of your body's resources. Supplements can help you make sure that your muscles get everything they need to repair as fast as they can. There's a certain genetic component that can only be overcome with steroids, but it's not worth it.
Conventionally, any quality whole protein, or one that isn't missing any essential amino acids, will do. Whey protein isolate (not concentrate) hits your bloodstream the fastest, and is considered the best protein to take after a workout by a bunch of studies. This will help with muscle gains. Since soreness is your issue, you need to consider your entire fitness plan.
1. Are you eating enough real food in general? Don't even start with supplements until you have your diet worked out.
2. Are you working the same muscle groups two workouts in a row? Doing biceps curls every day just means that you should be doing them with more intensity and volume and with less frequency.
You will get sore less often as you train more and your body gets used to the repairs it has to make. Getting sore means you're working hard, but if you work hard you won't always get sore. When I get muscle soreness, I like to foam roll or self-massage the area, stretch, take some sort of anti-inflammatory drug like aspirin, and do things to get my blood flowing in the area again. For example, if I benched a lot yesterday, I would try and do a couple hundred pushups over the course of today in sets of 10.
Sorry its a bit scattered but this is what I do when I procrastinate schoolwork. If you have more questions shoot me a PM
