A funny little opener I came up with

I was just chilling, and I don't know why but I turned to the girl next to me and asked

"Hey does your name start with an A?"
"Um....no?"
"I mean B?"
"No..."
"C?"
"no..."
"D?"
"No, why?"
"Just give me a minute. Do you have a dad?"
"Yes..."
"I KNEW IT! Im psychic!"

It sounds weird when reading it, but just think of like a tv show where the host asks the audience members about their names and shit to read their minds. Like...
"I sense you have a dead relative..."
"OH YES MY DAD DIED LAST YEAR"
"Yes...your dad.....his name starts with....a....d..."
"No..."
"....a ..... C?"
"Thats right!"

anyways, its worked on two different girls alone, so eh....i thought it might help someone

I did a similar thing to a girl in a set, i turned to her and I silenced everyone in the group by raising my hand up, then I said slowly.

'you look like a jessica'

she proceeded to freak out because that was her name, i tried it again with another girl but she was something else so I just said
'I didn't say you were a jessica, I just said you looked like one.'

The only opener I ever used was basically running around to other girls and saying like "Megan!" or any other girl's name. Using the really normal ones are great, since you'll be right maybe once out of twenty. Most girls go like "no, but you were close" even though you were miles from it. Actually, I've only been rejected by busy girls? Hmm.
It's good, though. It has a positive effect if you keep saying their name after you guessed it.

Me: Oh, I mean B
HB: Its Nicole.
(In my head: aww-fail)
Me: I was going to guess that next.
HB: *giggle*

"What about a B" Still very confident like its normal that you get it wrong, but somehow your still a psychic

If she doesn't say fuck off, it works. Its cool to learn her name then quickly switch over

"Oh, hahah well I guess im not as psychic as I thought....my name is ____"

Then go from there
