Alright I was thinking of making a comprehensive thread that described what I felt about fashion.
After this thread began there was some concern on the purpose of this thread. Every one looks good in different things, so the only way to capture the attention of most people is to post a safe clothing thread. I admit the first version of this list os rather vague so if you have any examples on how to spice it up be sure to post it on the forum.
This thread is meant as a source of new ideas, for those of you who either want to try something new or see what others are doing, as well as contribute your own ideas, and if you feel that this thread cannot help anyone with fashion then tough titties.
In general I believe being clean and well groomed is top priority. If you have issues with acne get a good face cleanser kit with anti-pimple shit, then once you use the kit use face lotion, and tone down your dairy consumption and within a week or two the difference is noticeable, also dont touch your face or burst the pimple.
Oral Hygiene is good, be sure to floss and brush twice a day.
This guy also has alot of good videos on fashion in general so be sure to check him out.
if your too white then I suggest go tanning once in a while, if you don't want to tempt skin cancer look up melanotan, its a compound developed in australia to curb skin cancer by making your body naturally produce melanin and become tan.
Get fit, if your thin bulk up, not too much but so your no longer a stick, if your over weight trim down, I won't go into to much detail but exercise everyday in one way or another, and have a healthy diet.
hair
depends on what you look like, but for guys short hair is usually better, you can dye it but I wouldn't go to crazy, natural hair is usually better, but again it is really dependent on what you look like
example, i look good with this blondish fauxhawk but i wouldn't look good bald.
Shirts
Tshirts
These can be good, or really stupid. I suggest wearing artistic stuff instead of stupid lettering.
Also get a blank white Tshirt, a high quality one, for use as an undershirt.
dont go overboard with the shirts with lettering on them, but there are some gems in those links.
Vnecks can look really good as long as they dont show off your man cleavage, be sure to at least check out hwo they look on you.
Polos
A black polo is usually a good purchase, but polos look good on most people so whatever works with the rest of your wardrobe is a good idea.
I also suggest going to name brand stores and seeing what looks good on you, you dont have to buy thier over priced shit, just try tshirts on. Then when you find something you like find it on ebay or some cheap chinese whole saler.
I also suggest wearing TIGHT, like im 6 ft, but im 125, so im thin, so i wear adult small and it looks pretty good. try to wear tshirts on thier own, its okay to have a jacket but dont mix a colorful t and and a dress shirt unless it really looks good.
Most of the other shirt kinds I dont have specific links to but the main stream apparel go to the store and buy off ebay or wholesaler instead applies to everything except dress shirts, kind of, and vests.
dress shirts
Like the tshirts get a plain white dress shirt, it will really help.
try to wear these without any other shirt except jackets. try to wear these tight, and open at the top, also dont tuck them in your pants
Vests these should be only worn with tshirts and only if its classy, also dont overuse vests.
Pants
Jeans are the staple here but I recommend a pair of really dark blue jeans and khaki pants. This is just a base so if you find other good pants on your search for fashion or anything that matches your wardrobe I say go for it.
shorts can be good in some situations, like if you at the beach or something, but generally they aren't the staple of people's wardrobes.
Shoes
Having two basic types of shoes, a pair of clean white sneakers and a pair of dark brown almost black dress shoes, these should match anything you wear.
A man's shoes is his foundation so be sure to have shoes that reflect who you are
Converse look good, as well as some other sneaker brands and Puma produces some quality footwear.
boots are interesting and different dress boots can look really good if you have a tshirt jeans combination.
Sandals can be good if your in a warm place and your feet are clean.
Socks
wear black socks, and if you have to wear shorts or other things that contrast your leg and socks, wear short ankle socks so they arent visible.
Belts
Have two belts, a black leather belt, and a brown leather belt. Other then that you can buy whatever you want, it usually helps to have it match your shoe color, but this is just a matter of going out and finding what matches you.
Accessories
Although personally I only wear one or two rings and a necklace and thats the general limit I have I don't enjoy peacocking like mystery. However its all up to personal preference, as long as it reflects who you are and doesn't distract from your look.
Hats
I dont recommend it, sure you could wear a fedora or top hat of something but it draws attention form the face and expressiveness is a really useful tool one can use to generate attraction by having properly attuned facial expressions.
for the most part the best thing you can do is go down to a store (local unique ones are better then huge A&E shit) , bring a girl friend ( can be a girl who is only a friend) if you want and try things on, different combinations ect ect. browse ebay for the cheap versions if your strapped for cash.
