Very good book. Story takes place in Cali and in time of the great depression. Goes through how modern society imposes labels on people and their capibilities and how people actually accept their label. ex. The 'HB10' is only eye-candy. She is a slut. She has a dirty personality. Farm workers will stay farm workers, they won't be able to achieve their dreams of being rich and owning land. Blacks will always be treated unfairly due to their skin color.
Also a good moral it gives is: Open your eyes and take a good look at yourself and your goals.
In the book, a guy yells at his mentally retarded friend for being how much of a pain in the ass he is. He claims if it wasn't for him, he could be using his monthly pay on gambling and sex. Gambling... and sex...... Kinda pathetic if you're going to use money for those ehh??
All in all, a very good book. It's only 100 pages too.
