Anger should be used to your advantage. Some guys let anger run them when they should do something with it. Here is how to use your anger to your advantage.
One is to use it to motivate yourself, in just about anything. Personally, this is what motivates me to lift weights. If it's one of those days where I just dont feel like lifting, I just think of my AFC times and how stupid I was. All those girls saying "lets just be friends." Gaaaahhhhhhh! That is what gets me going. You can also motivate yourself in pick-up. If you maybe had a bad day and you are angry because of that... use that anger to motivate yourself to get some cold approaches under your belt so you can get this game down once and for all.
Now, the Anger Map. When you get angry, there is generally THREE things you can do with it, similar to the Anxiety Map.
The first thing is being passive with your anger. Doing nothing with it and just living with it. This is where depression comes from. Sadness is the same emotion as anger but in a passive form. Being passive with anger can result in depression, which leads to things like addiction.
The second option that anger can be used is aggression. Where you are basically dumping your anger on other people and taking it out on them. This does relieve your anger but in a VERY immature manner. It is a win/lose situation. You need to look for win/win situation to be a mature man. To sum that up, aggression will get rid of your anger but will harm someone else in the process.
The third and final way to use your anger is being assertive. This is NOT the same thing as aggression. You find out what your needs are in detail and go get things done to turn your anger into WELL BEING. If you do this and harm someone along the way it wasn't being assertive, it was aggression.
When you use the Anxiety Map and the Anger Map right... it will result in a balance of confidence and well-being, which ultimately is equal to happiness.
