Wondering how this will work out..

So I've gotten this chick two grades ahead of me.. not sure why she's so into me but hey, i'm not going to question. we've hung out a few times and the most recent time we were cuddling in the back of her car.. talking and what not. I kiss her on the cheek, then go for her lips and she tells me to stop in a flirty way. I thought she was just flirting, but she won't let me kiss her. I ask why, and she just says "because". we leave the parking lot, still flirting and whatnot. we go get drinks and she drops me off at my house (haha I can't drive yet.. just a few more weeks). she texts me and tells me she's so sorry for not kissing me. she goes onto explain that she was flirting with another guy (he's her age btw) but he's too clingy and she wants to cut everything off with him before she starts kissing other guys. she also says she doesn't want to lead me on since she's older and we probably won't date. she goes on still flirting with me with more text messages.. says she still wants to hang out with me.. etc.

Anyone that's ever been in a situation similar have any advice on what this means? I know it's hard to see everything that's going on with this one post.. but she is a genuine girl and I'm very positive she means what she's telling me. I forgave her for flirting with the other guy and she said she was really sorry and she still liked me and whatnot. I just need to wait it out I suppose and see why happens next time I hang out with her.

Any advice would be appreciated.

well my advice, don't let her plan how this will go. she is imposing the frame that you 2 won't work xD that's kinda something we puas do as false disqualifing. maybe she is just testing you, trying to see who you are. flirt with other girls see how she responds and show her that your mature for your age. obviously don't tell her that, but through actions...

Just show her you are a mature guy who had options so she needs to figure it out. I have similar issues with older girls because I am 16(junior) and all my real good friend are in the class that just graduated so when I go to parties with them and meet 18 year old to 19 year old girls age is the only issue and it can be a huge cockblock. You just need to show them like I said before that you are more like guys their age. I was able to make out with a sophmore in college who was really hot even though she knew I was in highschool(not my age or grade though). You can get it to work, just make her think she needs to work for you. Good luck bro.
WhenYou hang out with her next be texting another girl, at least at the beginning. And definatly cuddle then I would only go in for the kiss if she really seems like she wants it. Or even be like have you ended it with that, other guy yet before you actually hang and she should get the hint.

Go for the kiss again. If she still says no, ask her why. She'll say it's because you prolly won't date anyway. Tell her you just feel like kissing her, because she's so sweet, but it doesn't have to mean anything more than a kiss. Blablabla, then fuck 'er.
