I just wanted your opinion.
I go to marshalls, tjmaxx, burlington coat factory, and target/walmart/those types of places.
They are far from my favorite stores (not location wise, but as in like wise), but they have the cheapest decent looking clothes.
This really is a mess...

i wouldnt know about the first ones you mentioned but ditch wal-mart, target, or anything like that.
it depends on your style and what your identity is. Personally, I dress like a "rocker" and people assume im a musician just by the way i dress, which i am.
I get most of my stuff online, because i havent found a single store that takes care of everything for me. I shop around urbanoutfitters, sometimes express, very occasionally buckle, but mainly just online, like even ebay is great.
again, depends on your style and what youre trying to convey with your clothes.
p.s. i know i take fashion way to analytically but i think thats a good thing haha, why not get your look down to a science?

I just go to two stores for most of my clothes: Gordman's and Kohl's. Original, cheap, and good looking if worn right. Plus, they have everything the expensive stores have except without the brand name.
Kohl's has the more preppy stuff but also has really good brands like Urban Outfitters and Helix. Go there for dress shirts, slacks, graphic tees, etc.
Gordmans has anything you'd ever want, except it's more on the rock star/southpole/tap out type of crowds. Great sunglasses, cologne, clothes, etc for CHEAP. I LOVE Gordmans.
The only time I go to the big stores is when I'm looking for something specific like a certain pair of jeans or something.

Go to Kohl's. I fucking love Kohl's. It's mostly preppy but the brands don't throw themselves at you like AE and Hollister. I just got some Helix shirts the other day and everyone loves them. They're so comfy too.
