my situation

alright so its a new year of school, im in the 10th grade of hs.

So far i've been maccin this girl in one of my classes pretty well. I tried getting her last year but failed when it came to building up the confidence to talk to her.

however theres also this other girl. I knew her since 6th grade, which was the only year i really said anything to her. Ever since then i never had any classes with her. She had a crush on me in the 6th grade, but i didnt really care or was too ignorant to get the hints from her. I started liking her in 7th and 8th which was the time i really never got a chance to talk to her again until this one time i talked to her a little on facebook when i was in the 9th grade.

The convo was really just me telling that i kinda like her still and her telling me she doesnt know me that well.

so its a year later since the convo and i want to try to get her again. My plan is to tell her good friend that im kinda friends with..

me - Hey you still talk to (girl) right?
her - Ya(blahblah). Why?
me- well if shes interested, tell her to hit me up.

now she cant really hit me up cuz neither of them know my number, but i think its a good way to get the ball rolling

any opinions or advice on what i should do to approach this situation? and if it means anything, the very first girl i was talking about (the one i said was in one of my classes) is good friends with her too.

easy way in, hit her up on facebook and say that you want to catch up with her,
"omg, did you know its been like 3 years since we last had a real conversation?"
"omg really?"
"yeah! lets catch up for old times sake "

sort out something to do like mini golf or something so you can have heaps of fun whilst catching up with her

but yeah, thats an easy way in with the old friend.

sounds like all you really need is some confidence bro, as harsh as it sounds, suck it up and go talk to her
youd be surprised how well it will work if you just go up, say hi, ask hows shes been blah blah blah, small talk for a while.
when you run out of things to talk about, say you have to go somewhere to do something important and tell her that youll see her later
get some new conversation topics and chat to her again the next day.
just build up a friendship with her and for the love of god, escalate if you choose her over your 6th grade friend haha

so yeah, just be a happy, funny, confident guy and youll have no problem on either

It is very easy to talk with a girl at or in any of the situation. Be frank with the girl as you with your best friend. Share the thing which you share also with your best friend. In starting i am also facing this but noe she is also my best friend.
