New at school

Hey there, I'm currently a junior and the new kid at school. I have been there for two weeks so far and basically haven't accomplished much. I have made a few friends (no one really popular just average kids, but better than eating alone imo) and found a few girls in my passing time and in a few of my classes that i think are hot. Generally, i'm really shy, but i have been working on that and have found it much easier to approach random people. So... Where should i go from here? Should i just walk up to them in class or sit down with them at lunch and strike up a convo? or would this be considered more on the creepy side?
