My advice to you is to avoid shopping online. I find it better if you go in because then you able to try stuff on to make sure it fits and is the style your looking for. What i normally do is go to the mall with friends and just find stuff we like and were able to bounce ideas off of eachother

try to wear the tightest tees possible, I can wear a medium but i choose to wear small because its tighter, looks much better. As said above, trying them on at actual stores is preferable.

Almost all malls have places to buy graphic tees, and it's much better to actually try it on before you buy it. And please, make sure you don't get ANY shirts with writing on them. They make you look like a 9 year old whos trying to be smart.
