www.livemocha.comI literally JUST heard about it. I've looked into it some and it has outstanding reviews. You can learn up to 35 languages but only a select few have courses in them. It is social media integrated and you can easily access other people learning your language or people that want to teach you at almost any given time. It has A LOT that is completely free but it also has courses that you can enroll in starting at only $15. I also heard it was rated better than Rosetta Stone, but you can't believe everything you hear. On the flip side, it is sort of new and has a few kinks yet in the site. Either way, it will definitely help you learn a language. Just sharing the news

One step up above this is taking a class at your local college or university. From what I've heard language learning software is never great, real life is always the best.

Yeah but taking the class at school costs money. Plus, you have absolutely no control over it.
Livemocha actually lets you chat and submit your work to actual native speakers and teachers. The absolute best is going to a country that speaks the language you want to learn and actively participating. Which I would like to do, but it's kind of sketchy and costly, too.

I did one full lesson (which is maybe 30 mins of your time) in the summer. Livemocha is definitely not one of the best ways to learn a language. I need to know the basics such as hello and how are you; not boy and girl.
