The reason this squad is so important is because... it has NOTHING to do with women, not unless your life long dream is to be an OBGYN or something. I have a very negative view of game, of pickup, of all this bullshit in general, because not only does it objectify women, but it makes guys forget what women are truly attracted to, and thats real men. A real man is someone who has a code of conduct, goals, and who doesn’t cross the line he draws in the sand for anything, that includes changing ones self to get girls. It is so goddamn simple to be a man, its sticking to it that difficult. I’m not in the mood of repeating what other people have already said, so Andrew posted an article on being a man which illustrates what I’m getting at in more detail here:
There is an easy formula to be a man:
have balls + no excuses = man
but for those of you who want a more detailed formula:
Physical Power (strength/stamina/endurance) + Wisdom (the understanding and the ability to act) +Honor ( having and sticking to convictions) +Purpose ( having goals for your life) +Poise ( Having balance in ones life) + Courage (be able to overcome fear) + Passion (acceptance/application of inner beast)= man
The two big parts of this formula that this squad is concerned with is:
1. goals (Purpose)
2. balance (Poise)
GOALS:
I’m as solipsistic has they come. I don’t think that any belief is valid, that the only thing verifiable is my own consciousness and that life has absolutely no meaning. Everything else is just fear wrapped in bullshit. But there is meaning to life, the meaning I give my life through my actions and my aspirations. You have one life, live it. This idea is applicable to all life philosophies, be it working under a deity, or 100% hedonism ( big fan of this one) whatever you chose to do with your life or believe is fine, as long as you make a choice and shoot for something larger then yourself.
Find some goal(s), better if its large and unrelated to picking up chicks, and work towards making it a reality. It doesn’t need to be an all consuming adventure, but just make progress on it on a daily basis. You will find this central rail of your life will bring you to massive amounts of prosperity.
The compound effect of goals
I saw in a book on this effect a great example of compound interest.
A genie offers you a choice between 3 million dollars cash right now or a penny which will double every day for 30 days. Which do you chose?
Well as much as you would think it would be the cash, its actually the magic penny, and heres why:
The 3 million dollars stays the same all month, but the penny changes over time
Sack of cash
1 day in: $3,000,000.00
30 days in $3,000,000.00
Doubling penny
1 day in: $0.01
5 days in: $0.32
10 days in: $10.24
15 days in: $327.68
20 days in: $10,485.76
25 days in: $335,544.22
27 days in: $1,342,177.28
28 days in: $2,684,354.56
29 days in: $5,368,709.12
30 days in: $10,737,418.24
It took 28 days to even get near the 3 million, but in 30 it was worth more then 3 times the cash. In 10 days it increased in value 1000 times. Thats how it is with goals, first they’re slow, you dont see any progress, first its hard watching the pennies of you work be worth less then your average sandwich, but soon enough the habits kick in and you start picking up steam, and eventually your goal just manifests itself. You just need to make a little progress every day. Having goals, aspirations, things in your life that isn’t the girl makes you incredibly attractive, it shows that you have a plan and that you’re making action towards it. Also it contributes to your state and makes you far less outcome dependent because you could give a fuck on how a single night turns out.
BALANCE
To be effective, healthy, and happy in our lives we need balance. The most basic balance is gathering energy, and then discharging it, like sleeping and waking. There is actually a symbol describing the needs for balance in your life, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs:
This pyramid is a description of all the needs we need, from the basics of survival to self-actualization of our lives. These needs are balanced by a variety of different inputs and energy we put into our lives, the BALANCE we are trying to describe is the use of our time. The older you get the more inputs, interests, and problems you run into, the more your time is spent on a multitude of different activities. But for the young highschoolers and college students unless your retardedly busy with a variety of different projects like myself there are only three things you need to live a fulfilled life, and I call them the 3 B’s of balance:
Body - My physical body, keep it fed, get the right supplements, and work out.
Babes - Be social, get out there and escalate. This is really about connections, but the pussy is nice.
Booty (like pirate booty) - Work. Making the cash and pursuing my side projects.
Whenever I have been making progress on all three of those my life suddenly opens up, everything becomes easy, its like the secret to accomplishing anything. My entire hierarchy is fulfilled, my entire life is on the road to perfection, and amazingly enough this diffrent, better version of myself comes forth, one who really doest give a shit about what other people are thinking, who knows exactly what to do, and when to do it. Its almost like magic.
In the end the concept of the renaissance man in relation to PUA is very simple. Live a fulfilling life, where you are fine to live without women, and its like an attraction magnet, girls will flock to you, and you will be generally more happy and your life will unfold in your favor.
Now I would be an absolute jerk-off if I didn’t offer an opportunity to help. One of my biggest issues is motivation in my work, in all my projects, so one of the things I did was I had a weekly facebook message I would send to a close friend to track my progress and keep me on the path I set for myself. The only problem was the time and unorganized system we had regarding goals, and each facebook emssage would get longer and longer and less cohesive, so I started a freed mind account.
Freed mind is a group project manager and I created a project between him, another friend, and myself, in order to organize all my goals and setup a system where I would be responsible for what I didnt accomplish. What I’m offering anyone who PM’s me, is the group keyword and password so that they can join in and post their progress on any of their goals. It is much more secure then this forum as far as private info goes and i think that people who are really interested in making a change in their life might want to join in and see if its for them.
