Help with toning down insane sense of humour?

haha word bro I have ADD also. I've found the best thing for this is having an older brother who used to beat me and call me annoying when I'd go overboard. Also - finding some things to take seriously. For me, it was baseball and working out. It put things into perspective - everything doenst have to be funny. But your problem is not overly bad, just think a little more before you talk. Being outrageous is great - being a dick is not. And everything you say, you have to own. If you went too far, you can't apologize for it, you have to think it was hilarious and appropriate. If later on you realize that it clearly wasn't, you should make a mental note of that, and turn it down a little bit. But everything out of your mouth you must own - if you think its too much, dont say it. Once its out there, you own it. I can't stress this enough.

i tell dead baby jokes to girls all the time the ethier lmao or say thats so horrible. Either way they are both strong reactions (which is good) and i can play off of both.

Obviously bud you can already tell the difference between going overboard and saying your mind, which is a good muscle to flex.

I used to be the same way. Still am. Me and about 4 buddies back in the day would crack the most awful jokes. I mean like, you wouldn't hear the shit we said in a prison. We were in 7th grade too, which makes it all the funnier I guess.

Just make sure if you're cracking those kinds of jokes, you don't come off as creepy, but just as a quirky guy. Shutting one's mouth never hurt anyone either.

Yeah kk thanks guys, I get what most of you are saying. I think I'll work on my ability to consciously note when I do this, and from there, tone it down accordingly. So yeah appreciate the feedback, this usually isn't toooo much a problem and I'm hopefully I'll get better with experience.
