Over springbreak I'm going to France and Italy on a school trip. I would love to hook up with some HBs over there. Anybody know how I would go about doing so? I'm terrible with other languages

Mate, I found this. It's called the "Language Hacking Guide 2010 ed." Learn any language in 3 months!. its pretty good for 3 months, 2 years studying french in school hasn't really worked out for me either. adf.ly/fnO9

Dude most people in Europe can speak English. You're foreign, use it to your advantage! Speak your own language and game as normal

Most people you'll meet will probably be able to speak decent English, plus your in luck since most people love foreigners (with the exception of Americans)

Nice, im going to spain during spring break, in fact whole damn country goes there (mostly juniors) soi will be damned if i dont f-close there, though i still need to get better... I can give a bit of advice, english is thought in almost every european country, except italy, so they are a bit of pain in the ass, anyway you should rely heavily on body-language, hmm at least thats how they do it...
