so this girl and i have been talking, we are going to the movies this friday but i feel like we talk a lot more on facebook than in person, i mean, we talk in person, hi and a hug in the hallway etc etc, when we have study hall together we chat but idkk, is it bad to talk to girls on facebook for more than just information giving, save the conversations for real life, so you have something to talk about when you are face to face? idk, any help is appreciated

Nah, don't worry about it. If you talk in study hall etc you should be good. The important thing is that you don't open/only talk on facebook or through text. Make sure your facebook/text game is congruent with your real life game too...
Good luck man, i'm sure you'll do great.

okay. just wondering, is it lack of confidence that makes talking on facebook so much more smooth or is it that way for everyone?

Its mostly lack of experience in person to person gaming, because you have time to consider your responses carefully. However, confidence does play a significant role in it too.

Approaching in school is NOT a cold approach. Asking random opinion openers on girls you don't know in school, or showing strangers at school magic tricks is weird, and can even be interpreted by some people as needy or creepy.
Treat meeting people at school as social circle game.
